You’ll take the lead on detailed power system design for complex water and wastewater treatment facilities – the infrastructure that keeps communities running and protects public health.
This is not routine building power. This is high-impact work where your calculations, layouts, and specs directly influence reliability, safety, and resilience.
You’ll be the go-to electrical power engineer, working with minimal supervision from senior leadership and collaborating closely with clients and multi-discipline teams.
If you’re an experienced Electrical Engineer who lives in NEC, NESC, and NFPA 820 and wants your work to matter, we want to talk to you.
You’ll be hands-on with the power systems that keep water and wastewater treatment facilities online and safe:
You’ll lean on standards and references every day: NEC, NFPA 820, NESC, and the IEEE color book series.
Your core challenge: design robust, code-compliant power systems that work flawlessly in some of the most demanding public infrastructure environments.
You’re the person the team calls when a power system problem looks ugly – because you understand both the calculations and the realities in the field. You’ve been on site, dug into as-built conditions, supported commissioning, and you know how treatment plant environments change the game for electrical design.
You’re comfortable leading your own work with limited supervision, translating code and IEEE guidance into practical designs, and explaining your decisions to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
High-signal experience: NEC • NFPA 820 • NESC • IEEE color book series • load calculations • short circuit current calculations • voltage drop analysis • harmonic distortion analysis • power factor correction • water treatment facilities • wastewater treatment facilities • MCC design • switchgear design • field investigation • start-up and commissioning • MS Word • MS Excel
You’ll work on essential water and wastewater infrastructure projects where electrical reliability isn’t a nice-to-have – it’s mission critical.
You’ll have real autonomy in your designs, operating with minimal oversight from senior staff while still having access to seasoned experts when you need them.
This role lets you bring together calculations, codes, fieldwork, and client interaction – a full-spectrum electrical power engineering position in a niche that truly matters.
If you’re an experienced Electrical Engineer who wants your work to directly support public health and resilient communities, let’s get your background in front of the hiring team.
