Job Title:  Mechanical Assembler

Location: Wendell, NC

Employment: Temp to Hire 

Industry: Manufacturing

Compensation: $19.50 + $1.50 shift differential to total $21.00/hour

2nd shift 3:00pm to 11:30pm.

Schedule: 40 hours /week

What You'll Do:

• Assemble and wire low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution equipment, including motor control centers, circuit breakers, switchgear, EV chargers, and solar inverters.
• Complete mechanical subassembly work, including steel components, parts kits, control wiring, power cables, and wire interconnections.
• Read and follow bills of materials (BOMs), assembly drawings, layouts, and work instructions to ensure accurate assembly.
• Use torque wrenches and other tools correctly, complete basic wiring tasks as needed and maintain accurate job records.
• Follow established manufacturing processes, prioritize workplace safety, and identify opportunities to improve assembly methods and efficiency.

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of experience in mechanical assembly of components, structures, or subassemblies in a manufacturing or production environment.

What Sets You Apart:

• 1+ years of experience performing mechanical assembly or experience in the mechanical field
• Forklift driver experience
• SAP experience
• Able to Identify mechanical parts and electrical components
• Experience working with standard hand and power tools, both pneumatic and battery operated
• Knowledge of torque wrench and applied torque values
• Experience with using a tape measure and other measuring devices

Additional Information:

• Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check
• Must be able to lift parts or sub-assemblies that weigh up to 50 lbs
